Othon Miguel Barraza, 52 years old passed away on November 4th, 2024 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He grew up in a small town called Wellton. A place he loved and called home.

He also lived his adult life in Mesa, Arizona where he was an avid ASU Sun Devil and Chicago Bears fan.

One of six siblings, Othon was a man who was adored by both his family and his friends, whether they were from his childhood or his coworkers. Othon loved his family and if you asked him what the most important thing to him was, his answer would always be Family.

He had the largest heart, was charming, witty, strong-willed, and dedicated. People were attracted to him because of his infectious personality. He was the focus of attention whenever he was around. Othon brought people together to share tales, laugh, and cry over priceless memories.

Othon began his career at Boeing at an early age and worked as Government Security for 30 years. Like his father, he worked hard, and his family was very proud of him. Although he will sorely be missed, he will always be in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Enrique Valdez Barraza; mother, Micaela Barraza and baby brother, Henry Barraza.

He is survived by his fiancé, Maria Ornelas; sisters, Alma Delia Barraza, Patty Barraza, Shelly(Benito Sauceda), Dacia(Donovan Madrid); nephews, Ben Justin Sauceda, Santo and Carlos Boaz and nieces, Micaela and Karlie Boaz.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2024 from 5:00 pm 8:00 pm at Sunset Vista Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Wellton, AZ on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 10:00 am; followed by graveside service at the Wellton Memorial Cemetery.
