Sal gave new meaning to the word friend. Some people are just friends when you are around, not Sal. He checked in with me several times during our off season just to see how I was doing. To me, this was special. I will miss him.

Sal, with such a heavy heart, we will miss you so much. I can not comprehend that you are gone. Connie, Katie, Andrew, Jacob, Kaleb, Andrea, and Joe, and all spouses, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, coworkers, customers, etc, we will be missing a huge part of our hearts. I just fully expect to hear your voice again, and Connie laughing and saying "Oh Sal!" when you say silly things. I am grateful that for 24 years I got to be part of your journey on Earth. Try to fly correctly with those angel wings, I am sure it will take getting used to! :-)
