Virginia Pierson Obituary
Virginia graduated from Yuma High School in 1939 and lived in Yuma for 86 years. She was an escrow officer at Lawyers Title and Citizen Title and Trust. She was a member of Nazarene Church and the Pilot Club. She loved playing the organ at home and at church. She enjoyed taking care of her family, babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a collector of china and tea cups with roses on them.
Virginia is survived by her son, L. Warren "Porkey" Pierson; daughter-in-law, Beth Pierson on Tacna; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Warren "Happy" Pierson and son, Marvin Pierson.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Saturday March 19, 2011 at 9:00a.m. with services starting at 10:00a.m. Virginia's final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Chad Pierson, Shonda Hart, Kaulinda Pierson, Raylee Pierson, Jacob Pierson, Lyndsey Pierson.
Honorary pallbearers are Jaime Pierson, Nicholas Pierson, Sterling Miller.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Aunt Virginia. I know that she is missed but to know that she is now in heaven with the Lord, Uncle Happy, Marvin, my Mom, my Dad, Uncle Ben and so many other family members and friends that have passed before her is also a joy to my soul.

I love you, Nano. You will be missed by so many who knew and loved you. You are in Heaven now dancing with Papa and I will be seeing you again.
