Floyd Lewis Wilkins

ZANESVILLE: Floyd Lewis Wilkins, 81 of Muskingum County, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1936 in Rivesville, WV to the late Joseph and Rose Spatafore Wilkins. He was employed as a Zanesville City Schools bus driver and also worked at Essex Wire. Served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Louise Wilson Wilkins; a son Jeffrey (Priya) Wilkins; two grandchildren: Gigi Gabrielle Wilkins and Galin Sterling of Sydney, Australia; a sister Shirley Ann (David) Tuttle; in laws: Bernice (Larry) Rota, Bernard (Rhonda) Wilson, Otto (PeeWee) Wilson, Richard (Kimberly) Wilson, Wanda (Donnie) Barnes, Connie Rota, Iva Ann Ecikels, Bill (Brenda) Wilson, Joe (Debbie) Wilson, Aretta (Terry) Barker, Claude Ray (Holly) Wilson, Audrey White, Edna Kropp, Jeanie Green and Judy (Eddie) Holcomb; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jamie Lynn Wilkins, twin sister Viola Wilkins; five brother in laws: Clarence Wilson Jr., Sam Rota, Bob White, Bill Kropp and Jim Green; and a sister in law Delores Ferrel.

Calling hours will be held 10AM to 12PM Friday, September 15, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will begin at 12PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors.

I remembered him as a bus driver and delivered newspapers to him and when I was collecting for the paper I remembered him showing me a tarantula. That was about 40 yrs ago wow !!

I had mr Wilkins for a bus driver as a kid lived in same neighborhood rip and tell Jamie and Rusty Hi for me in heaven
