Harry Glosser Obituary

ZANESVILLE: Harry W. Glosser, Sr., 73, of Zanesville, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Genesis Extended Care. He was born on May 2, 1936 in Zanesville the son of the late Mordica and Cora Nelson Glosser.
He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Zanesville Eagles #302 and the Goldwing Road Riders Chapter Y-2.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn (Henry) Glosser of the home; two daughters, Deborah (Harold) Burtnett of Monroe, NC and Sandra Glosser of Columbus; two sons, Russell (Stacy) Glosser of Norfolk, NB and Harry (Elizabeth) Glosser, Jr. of Zanesville. One step-daughter, Rhonda (Brian) Wood of Zanesville; three step-sons, Rocky (Stephanie) Dunlap of Tacoma, WA, Robin Dunlap of Zanesville and Martin Dunlap of Roseville. Two sisters, Elizabeth Glosser of Zanesville and Dorothy (David) Hutton of South Zanesville; two brothers, John (Nancy) Jones and Kenneth (Shirley) Jones both of Zanesville. Three step-sisters, Ruth Ann Hern of Zanesville, Carolyn (Loyd) Silvey of Indianapolis, IN, and Helen (Thomas) Temple of East Fultonham; one step-brother, Robert (Lorna) Jones of Santa Ana, CA. 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mordica Glosser. His mother, Cora Jones. His step-father, John Jones. One son, Charles Glosser. Four brothers, Elmer, Russell, Raymond, and Charles Glosser; one sister, Jacquie Jones. Mother and father-in-law, Eileen and James Henry, Sr.; brother-in-laws, James Henry, Jr., Michael Henry, Ronald Nutter, and Robert Hopper.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Dr., White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at The Evangelism Center U.P.C. Rev. David Richard and Rev. Rocky Dunlap officiating. A cremation will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
