J. Rasor Obituary

J. Todd Rasor

MOUNT VERNON: J. Todd Rasor, age 43, of Mount Vernon, died Saturday November 24, 2012.

Todd was born September 30, 1969 in Mount Vernon and was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School in 1988 where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball, lettering in all three sports. Following graduation Todd graduated from Otterbein College in Westerville in 1994 with a BS Degree in English. While at Otterbein Todd was a member of the Cardinals football team for 3years, his career shortened by injuries, and participated on the Cardinals baseball team for 4 years.

He was employed as a Certified Physical Trainer at Dynamic Performance in Mount Vernon. Todd was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns a passion that started when he was in elementary school in the Dallas Texas area.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, James and Tamara (Combs) Rasor of Mount Vernon; his daughter, Olivia Rasor of Westerville; the mother of his daughter, Julie E (Burrell) Rasor of Westerville; his brother, Tyler Rasor of Denver, Colorado; sister, Chelsey Rasor of Mount Vernon; grandmother, Florence Harstine of Newark; step grandparents, Ralph and Dixie Combs of Centerburg; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Harstine) Rasor; brother, Scott Rasor; and grandparents, Raymond Harstine and Wilson and Etta Rasor.

Friends may call Thursday November 29, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. A funeral service will follow calling hours on Thursday evening.

Private family burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Vernon Colt Football League in Care of the funeral home.
