Mona Givens Obituary
New Lexington, Ohio - Mona May (Shaner) Givens, 76, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.
Born January 3, 1945 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Augustus and Blanche Kinney Shaner.
Mona was a member of Grace Community Church of the Nazarene for 56 years; also a member of Patchwork Sisters in Somerset, Ohio. Mona had a big heart and loved her family very much.
Survived by her loving husband, Ernest Givens of New Lexington; children, Darin (Barbara) Givens, Scott Givens, Kimberly (Michael) Miller; grandchildren, Richard (Emily) Givens, Stephen Miller, Aaron Givens, Sarah Miller, Amber Givens, Daniel Miller and Christian Givens; great-grandchildren, Elaina Givens and Lorelai Givens; brothers, Gene Shaner of Texas, Ray Shaner of Texas, Dick (Lucy) Shaner of Thornville; sisters, Betty (Lawrence) Dickerson of New Lexington, Blanche "Sis" Sheppard of Zanesville and her twin, Donna (Dale) Ault of New Lexington.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by brothers, Lewis Shaner, Charles (Wavalene) Shaner, Albert Shaner and Robert (Hazel) Shaner.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 and from 10am-11am on Tuesday at the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 7945 Tunnel Hill Road, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Gilkerson officiating.
Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 7945 Tunnel Hill Road, New Lexington, Ohio 43764.
Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio in charge of arrangements.
Covid Guidelines will be followed.
