Marlene will truly be missed. She was a true friend of our family for years. She shared our joys and she shared our sorrows. She was always upbeat and made us laugh and smile. I have so many memories of her and Gene and our familes. She will truly be missed. Jackie Buckley Pulley and family

Sympathy and prayers to your entire family. Marlene and Gene were great friends of my parents (Jo and Jim Buckley). Marlene continued to be a friend to myself and my sisters over the years. She will be deeply missed by all. Barb (Buckley) Meredith

Marlene has been a part of our families lives forever. In fact we always thought of her as family. My mother and father who have both past were Jim and Josephine Jo Buckley, beloved friends for years. Dad and Gene started out playing softball together to both couples playing euchre at each other's homes on weekends. As kids my brother, sisters and myself had the pleasure of experiencing all the fun their friendship carried. We all became hugh RED'S fans over their love and exuberance for their team. Awe... the Pete Rose and Johnnie Bench days, were delightful! In the last couple weeks Marlene and myself would let each other know when pre-season games were on. Marlene came to every baby, wedding and showers for our family had over the years. Sadly when my dad and Gene passed both Marlene and mom remained dear friends. When my mother experienced Alzheimer's Marlene visited my mother in the nursing home when other family and friends could not be found. My sisters and I will always be thankful for this act of kindness even when my mother no longer knew who she was. I will miss Marlene for her quick wit and laughter, and her friendship since mom's passing. I will miss all the stories of the past. These are the treasures of life well lived and loved.
