Steven Gibson Obituary
Zanesville: Steven Lee Gibson, 25, of Zanesville lost his battle with leukemia Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Genesis Hospice. He was a beloved son, brother and father.
Steve enjoyed playing basketball and being a dad. He was in the U.S. Army as a Private E2 for over a year until he was medically discharged.
He is survived by his mother, Winona Medley and step-father, Franklin "Eugene" Mayle; brothers, Jeremy Gibson, Robert Dean Gibson Jr. and Antwan "Tony" Sowers; step-brother, Joshua Stevens; fianc?, Anna Howard; daughter, Aubri Ann Gibson; son, Kalem Isaiah Gibson; step-daughter, Destiny Ann Howard; very special nephew, Isaiah Allen Gibson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and who will greatly miss him.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Myron and Shirley Medley; grandmother, Edna Mayle and a very special aunt, Shawn Wagner.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 beginning at noon with service at 2 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle Street. Cremation has been chosen. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at Woodforest National Bank in the account name of Franklin Mayle for Steven Gibson. Condolences may be expressed at burrellfuneralservices.com where a poem is also offered in his memory. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
