Lola Van Denberg Obituary

Lola M. Van Denberg Springfield Lola M. Van Denberg, 51, of Springfield was promoted to Glory on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at her home. She was born March 23, 1957 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Walter Grzasko and Peggy (Scott) Rocheleau. She married Ronald Vern Van Denberg. Lola was the food service manager for The Salvation Army for 15 years. She had a great repore with the volunteers and those whom she broke bread with. Lola enjoyed all her family and friends at gatherings. She enjoyed crocheting sweater sets for her newborn nieces and nephews when they came home from the hospital. She would also embroider baby blankets. Lola had a great collection of mice. Lola's favorite saying was, "Here, now gone." She is survived by husband, Ronald Vern Van Denberg; mother, Peggy Rocheleau; children, Christina (Glenn) Bonadio of Ft. Bliss, TX, Joyce Van Denberg of Battle Creek, Ronald Van Denberg, Jr. of Springfield; granddaughter, Paige Myers of Battle Creek; sisters, Anna (Donald) Van Denberg of Springfield, Rose-Mary Grzako and Bill Vaughn of Tucon, AZ; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Grzasko; brother, Gerard Grzasko, and her in-laws, Leo and Dora Van Denberg. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Major Thomas Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to The Salvation Army. I moved back to Michigan a few years ago. I had nothing and Lola helped me to find everything I needed to start a new life for me and my daughter. I will never forget her gift of kindness.
