I just found out that Bettye Fay McCoy Blair passed away. I am sorry to hear this. We were childhood friends. I had known Bettye since kindergarten at Lincoln School. She was a loving, nice person. I can remember as though it was yesterday, how she loved chasing the boys in class and she would laugh as she tried to catch them. There was one in particular she would chase. Salis Andrews.
She lived on Hamblin Ave and I lived on Angle Street growing up as children. Her mother and father were nice people too.
I am sure she will be missed by her family and loved ones. May her soul rest in peace and may God continue to shine down on her family.

I worked with Bettye 27 years ago at a local Battle Creek nursing home.
She was a very caring & hard working woman
with a beautiful personality & a heart of gold.
She loved her children & spoke of them often.
I will miss her beautiful personality.
