Craig Furney Obituary

Craig L. Furney Scotts Craig L. Furney, age 58, died June 11, 2009 in Kalamazoo. He was born June 5, 1951 in Kalamazoo the son of Delphin and Ruth (Stanton) Furney. Private graveside services will be at Ft .Custer National Cemetery. Craig retired from the Battle Creek VA Medical Center following 33 years of service as a LPN. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two siblings: Beatrice Smith and David Furney. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Josefina "Martha" Furney; three daughters: Elizabeth (Richard) Martinez, Susan Furney and Michelle (Chip) Shaw; a grandson, Jacob Martinez; a brother, Irving Furney; and by many nieces and nephews. I worked at the VA Medical Center with Craig for 2 years. We also golfed together with another gentleman who worked there. He will be greatly missid by family and friends. He was certainly a good friend to me, and I will miss him very much.
