Norma Skowron Obituary

Norma V. Skowron Marshall Norma V. Skowron, 84, formerly of Richland died on Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Tendercare of Marshall. Mrs. Skowron was born on July 7, 1925, in Ashville, Ohio, to Benjamin and Jennie Ellen (Creager) Vause. She graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in nursing. She married Theodore F. Skowron on December 11, 1949 in Ohio. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1989. Mrs. Skowron was a nurse at the V A Medical Center for 32 years in Battle Creek. She was a member of the Ohio State University Alumni Association. Mrs. Skowron enjoyed word searches, cooking, and working in her flower garden. She also was an avid reader and would read at least two or three books a week. She is survived by her two sons, Theodore and Jeanette Skowron of Marshall, Tom and Patricia Skowron of Garfield, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Steven Vause Skowron II of Marshall, Tom David Skowron II of Garfield, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1989, a son Steven Vause Skowron in 1971 a sister Jean Dart, and a brother Joe Vause. Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-8p.m. with family present from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 1:30p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Chaplain Johnny Groda officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
