David Morris Obituary
David Lee Morris, 54, of Batesville, died at his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, on Pounding Creek Road.
He was born on April 12, 1955, in Albemarle County, the son of the late Lottie Louise Woodson Morris and Harry William Morris. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny Lee Morris, Robert Morris, Roy Mason Morris and Harry Morris; and two sisters, Helen Shaver and Dorothy Gibson.
He is survived by a sister, Ruth Shaver of Charlottesville; and three special friends, Pete Morris, Barbara Rickard and James Goolsby.
David Lee was employed by the Ivy Landfill and Wintergreen Resort.
David had 13 very special children that he cared for and loved very much. He had a big heart and showed this by caring for his sister, nieces and nephews. His family will always love and carry him in their hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
