GREENWOOD, Michael P. Age 36 of Miamisburg, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2007 in Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (Greenwald) Greenwood. He is survived by his father, Thomas, brothers; Scott Greenwood (Ron Halcomb), Steve (Jodi) Greenwood and their children, Nicole and Eric, and many cousins ,aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Michael. Michael was a great friend to me with a big warm heart and a lot of love to give. He had a very difficult year, struggling financially and with his health and he fought it all bravely and with a smile on his face.I'm so sad that he is no longer with us but I know he is much happier now than he was on this earth. I will miss you more than you know Michael and I will see you one day again. Rest in peace. All my love

I just can't believe this happened, was shocked to read the e-mail from Michael's brother. I never was a good friend, though Michael was always there for me if i needed that. I will never forgive myself for not telling him what a great person he was. It's true what people say: you never know what you have till it's gone. And now it is too late for any words i could have said so many times.

After hearing this sad news I was shocked. I could not believe something like this could happen.
I have tried to make that phone call to my uncle Tom and cousins Scott and Steve - but could not muster the strength to send them the right words to convey how deep this loss is.
I have had the recent pleaseure of talking to Michael and doing some fun things this past year. Jet Skiing, shopping, and celebrating Christmas with him were some of the things we did together.
We also shared some e-mail jokes together.
My only hope is that all of our pain from this loss diminishes from day to day and we can take comfort in the positives Michael added to each of our lives.
Michael, you will always be in my thoughts.

Michael, I didn't know you that long but you definitely had an impact in my life. At my first real "grown-up" job you made me feel welcome and we laughed together constantly. We had many great political debates, and although we almost always disagreed, you were always respectful of my opinions. You are a great guy and this world is a sadder place without you. I'm crying so hard, I'm not sure where to start. Mike and I were childhood sweethearts, and a year or two ago he came to stay in my home with my parents and myself. He had been down on his luck, and I couldn't...and WOULDN'T turn him away. We grew up together from the sixth grade on. We had lost touch from time to time, but always seemed to come into one another's lives again and again. I miss the vibrant, loving, and giving person with a heart of gold. He had a way of touching people's lives. He touched mine in ways he never knew, and ways that I never knew until I read the very sad email of his passing. I love you, and will miss you....but most of all...will never forget you.

As I type this, I still can't believe it. This was definitely not expected, as I have seen you online lately(maybe not in the last few days, but a lot before that).

Anyways, I never had the privilege of meeting you in person, but I knew you were a person full of life. You always tried to lift my spirits when I was feeling down, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
