Lance hired me into bank security in 1990 when it was Gem Savings/First National Bank of Dayton/National City Bank. I will always remember his laugh. Rest in peace.

I grew up with Lance. Our families were effectively blended as his Mom and my Mom were best friends. In those days we kids roamed the neighborhood with abandon. One day Phil, Skip, me and by brother David, and a few neighbors Ben and Jerry went on a hike. Unknownst to us our younger brothers Lance and my brother Kenneth followed us. They were probably five or six years old and really did not know their way around. The mailman saw them about six blocks away and brought them home. I do not recall all the repercussions for us older brothers. But I am sure Lance and my brother Kenneth had a great adventure.

I was fortunate to have several occasions to work with Lance when we were both investigators. He was a good guy and a good cop.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Lance at MCPO -Welfare Fraud. He was a very nice man and had a sense of humor. I will always remember when he told the story of his son riding his bike (I think to school) and Lance followed him to make sure he got there, but his son didn't know that Lance followed him. Prayers for the family.

So sad to read this, my condolences to the family. Lance and I worked together at LSB. He always had a smile and was so fun to be around. One memory was we had a team meeting in Wilmington and it was snowing really bad on the way home on Rte 68 and the road conditions were not the best. There was a group of us from Vandalia who were riding with Lance, needless to say he was driving like there were no issues with the road conditions and we were all probably gritting our teeth and seatbelts a little bit, but he was laughing telling us not to worry and he got us home safely. Such a good guy. . Sending up prayers for strength and peace during this sad time.
