Mike and I were so sorry to hear about your loss. We were out of town and wanted you to know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I didn't know Mr. Alexander well but his wonderful reputation through the years is well known in Knoxville and won't be forgotten.

MY WIFE AND I WERE DEEPLY SADDENED TO LEARN OF JIM'S DEATH . WE WERE FRIENDS IN COLLEGE WITH JIM AND MARGIE AND JIM AND I WERE FRIENDS AND BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL TEAM MEMBERS AT BENEDICTINE HIGH SCHOOL IN RICHMOND, VA. I DID NOT PLAY BASEBALL BUT JIM DID AND WAS AVERY GOOD PITCHER . AT BENEDICTINE , HE WAS QUITE ACTIVE, WELL LIKED AND A HIGH RANKING OFFICER IN THE CADET CORPS . WE HAVE MANY GOOD MEMORIES AND OUR LOVE AND GOD'S LOVE BE WITH MARGIE AND ALL FAMILY MEMBERS IN YOUR TIME OF GRIEF.

I am sorry to hear about Mr. Alexander. My dad called me to tell me and I wish I could attend the service tomorrow, but we been out of the country so I have been away for 2 weeks. I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I always loved going to your home with Kim when we were college roommates. Kim & Jim were very lucky to have such great parents.
