Ann, Patrick and Family,
Since I heard the news of Bill"s passing, you all have been in my thoughts. I'm so sorry and can only imagine the pain associated with this great loss.
He was such a loving man, with a great laugh and adoration for his family. He will be missed by many.

He was such a fun loving man..Always a pleasure to be around...I remember working with "Dippy" down in New York City in 1972 and we worked long hours but we also had fun...I know he will be greatly missed...

To The Dillon Family, I am so sorry to hear of Bill's (Dippy) passing, I work with Dippy as we all called him at Verizon for many years,,He was a true gentleman always willing to help ,he had a great sense of humor. He used to call us all,kid..Rest in peace Dippy, from 1 of the kids,,,

We were so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a a wonderful man.
We are in Florida until the end of March and regret that we will not be there today to attend the services for Bill. We certainly would have been there if we were home, but you will be in our thoughts and prayers on this very sad day.

Dear Ann & Patrick,
It was with great sadness I read about the passing of Bill. He was truly a wonderful and gentle-man. I have several fond memories of him, Bill Shields and my father Raymond on the golf course (at Stanford, Schenectady Muny, Colonie and Normanside) in years past. I wish I could have spent more time with him as he was always a great "uncle" to be around.
Please accept my sympathy and heartfelt condolences and know that you and Bill will be in my prayers.

Dear Aunt Ann and Patrick,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts are so full. Uncle Bill was a great man. Always a smile on his face, and his quickwit made us laugh. He was always ready to share a cup of coffee with us at Gram's and always made us feel like we hadn't been far away. We got such a kick watching him laugh at you Ann, like a little boy who just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. We are really going to miss him.
