To Logan and the Dolen family:

I may not know you, but I want to extend my sincere sympathies on the loss of such a young person. At 25, I feel he had a bunch of life left in him, plus with his young son.

I know that he will be missed by all who know him, but I do wish the best for Logan on the loss of his father.

Much peace to you all.

Sincere,

Dena

To Bill, Louise and the rest of the Dolen clan,
We are deeply sorry for your (our) loss. Chris belonged to our large extended family, the kind we get to choose instead of being born with. How lucky we are to have had him in our lives.
We miss him dearly, but he'll always be with us.
Love,
Ray, Mary, Mike, Jodi, Bridget & Sean

Dear Bill and Louise,

You have been in my thoughts and prayers for a long time now. My heart aches for both of you and for Chris.

Christopher,
I will remember your crazy hair, bouncing while you walked and sticking up all over when you got out of bed.
I will remember how you twisted your mouth when you knew that I was being silly with you.
I will remember the warmth in your eyes and smile.
I will remember how silly you were when you were little.
I will remember the weekend that Keith taught you how to spike a football and do a touchdown dance, you were only four or five years old.
I will remember the very day that I got my first new car and you got BigMac sauce all over my seat belt.
I will remember all the spilled soda's and pizza sauce.
I will remember hearing all of you laugh and scream while watching movies and playing video games.
I will remember telling all of you to get to sleep it's two a.m.
I will remember hearing the quiet giggling until after three a.m.
I will remember how your voice lifted and your face lit up whenever you spoke of Logan.
I will remember how grateful you were for the love and help that your Mom and Dad gave to you and to Logan.
I will remember your kindness.
I will remember your respect.
I will remember you always Christopher, I promise.

We first meet sixteen years ago. You a sloppy haired kid all of nine years old, me sixteen years your senior and your future brother-in-law although neither of us knew that at the time. Over the years we became brothers, and freinds. You seldom said no when I asked for your help regardless what it was, although I had to stock up on food, like any good brother you could eat me out of house and home when you would visit. Sometimes we fought like brothers but when the chips were down I always had your back no matter what. I will truly miss you as will Samantha, Gage, & Chase. You will never be forgotten.

Bill, Louise and Family,

Please accept the heartfelt condolences of my entire family. Bill and Louise, when the time is right, please feel free to contact me. As you know Mary Ann and I lost our youngest son, Dane, 23, just over a year ago. It is a very difficult road we are going down. Time does heal slowly. Rely on God, your faith and the love of your family and friends.

Chris had the aura of a joyful, young man. His smile and laughter could light up a room. Christopher was so dearly loved by his parents Billy & Louise, who he, in turn, loved so deeply. It was so evident that they shared a special bond. Chris was a proud papa himself whose eyes grew big and bright whenever he spoke of of his son, Logan.

His child-like nature captivated his niece and nephews' attention. He will be missed by so many more... his sister Samantha, brother Jonathan, grandmother Betty, and numerous family & friends. We pray and mourn for Christopher's passing with you and for you.

We seek solace knowing Christopher is at peace and was welcomed by the loving embrace of our family members that have gone before him.

Words cannot express and describe the saddness we feel for the loss of Christopher. For his family and friends, we pray for courage & strength. May memories of Christopher comfort and sustain all his loved ones for the difficult days and times ahead.
