Karin Marie Sefcik Treiber

Treiber, Karin Marie Sefcik Died on Thursday evening, December 27, 2012. She is survived by her husband Bob, her son, Paul and her son, David and his wife, Danielle and her two beautiful twin granddaughters, Lucy and Stella. She is also survived by her two brothers, Vince and Steve Sefcik. Karin was an educator at Walden University who mentored students in their doctoral programs. Karin had a large number of close friends, spanning several continents. Karin had a passion for helping people discover and use their talents to the fullest extent possible. She believed the learning process never stops. Her passions were many and varied, but connecting across ethnic, cultural and religious lines was high on her list. Karin was instrumental in starting the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in 1967 which has impacted over 100 million Catholics around the globe. Karin was a tireless volunteer for Rotary, one of most important activities with which she was involved. Karin was widely known for her hospitality, kindness and generosity, but she will be best remembered as a beloved wife and mother and grandmother. Even in her last days of fighting cancer, it was her family that brought the biggest smiles to her lovely face.
