Robert Earle

Robert W. Earle Robert W. Earle died Tuesday afternoon, February 5, 2013. A child of early Palo Alto, he died just two blocks from the house his parents built in 1902 on Webster Street. He was a 1935 Palo Alto High School graduate and began a 25 year career with S & W Fine Foods in San Francisco.
In World War II he served in the Pacific and returned to Palo Alto in January 1946. Bob, wife Joy and their family lived in Palo Alto and Menlo Park for many years. He spent his working life in the food canning industry in San Francisco, Redwood City and San Jose.
He was predeceased by their youngest son, Richard. He is survived by his wife, Joy, at home at Channing House, daughter Leslie Besic of Riverside, CA, son Ken and his wife Isabel of Santa Fe, NM, and five grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Roller & Hapgood & Tinney Funeral Chapel.
