Addison Cushman May of Warwick, NY and Stamford, CT passed away on June 5, 2021 in Stamford, CT surrounded by his family. He was 87 years old.
Addison Cushman May was born in New York on December 25, 1933 to Byron B. and Martha Fay May.
He had a distinguished career in the banking field, including Citibank, Chase Manhattan, where he served as Sr. Vice President and General Manager of its branches in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Guam; Vice Chairman of the Connecticut Bank & Trust, the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines, and Peregrine Capital Ltd. in Hong Kong.
After he suffered a heart attack in 2017, the Mays moved to Edgehill, a Continuing Care facility in Stamford, where he peacefully passed away on June 5th, surrounded by his family. In addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, Jean Beattie May, he is survived by his daughters: Julia (Marc) Boddewyn and Emily (Brett) Pierce and grandchildren: Matthew and Emily Boddewyn and Nevé Skye Pierce.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26 at noon at the Old School Baptist Meeting House, Warwick, New York. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Warwick Historical Society, Box 353, Warwick, NY 10990 or the Brick Presbyterian Church, 62 East 92nd St., New York, NY 10128.
