In my previous memory, I incorrectly identified Don Atwood as the GM Central Office executive that aided Flint in securing future contracts etc. The correct individual was Guy Briggs of the Truck and Bus Group. My apologies for my error.

I worked under Bill's supervision with his role of General Superintendent for a number of years at Flint Assembly. He was a tough task master and he pushed everyone to do more, and for continuous improvement in our plant's product(s). He often asked more of me more than my rank and pay grade could provide and I did all I could in addressing those goals. Bill did have the ability and foresight to work with our local Union leadership under Shop Chairman Mark Hawkins and with the help of another Flintstone, a GM Vice-President of Truck and Bus Group, Guy Briggs, help lay the ground work for Flint Assembly's future role in truck production. This was a very fortunate connection of personalities that made Flint Assembly so important to the city of Flint and and to the State of MIchigan. Thank you Bill and rest in peace.

Mimi and family,
We are sad to learn of Bill's passing. I enjoyed many great memories of working together with Bill. Beneath his gruff hard guy image at work, he was quite a loving and thoughtful man. He did much to put employees first but never cared about taking credit. He was truly one of a kind. He is missed by many. Our sincere condolences to the Borowy family.
