"Walt never knew a stranger." Those words are so true. My mother is married to George Hadler (Walt´s brother-in-law). I met Walt at the family Thanksgiving dinner several years ago. I was a tad bit nervous the first year as I did not know everyone, but Walt welcomed me with a warm hug and friendly conversation. Every year after the first, it became habit to sit next to Walt at the Thanksgiving dinner. I always looked forward to seeing him and catching up on life. Our conversations were always so genuine.
To know Walt is to love Walt. He is missed immensely. My heart aches for Marge as she navigates life without her true love, his children as they navigate life without their father, and his grandchildren without their grandfather. Sending everyone so much love and strength during this difficult time. Walt´s loving spirit will live on through those who knew and love him.
