Suzanne Conlan Frank
Suzanne Conlan Frank, age 64, passed away peacefully on December 7th, 2022 in Palm Beach, Florida surrounded by family, with her son at her side.
Suzanne was born on October 30th, 1958 in New York, New York. She graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in 1976 and continued her education at Bloomsburg University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing. Early in her career, Suzanne followed her passion for traveling by working in the Caribbean as a sales representative for Fort Howard Paper Company. She lived most of her life in Greenwich, Connecticut and Palm Beach, Florida.
Suzanne is survived by her son, Ramsey C. Frank, sister, Janice Byrne, brothers John Conlan and Peter Conlan, former husband, Ramsey A. Frank, nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Conlan. She also considered her many dogs as family, and will be missed by her Samoyeds Lima, Rio and Luca.
Suzanne made friends wherever she went. She had a quick wit, an unforgettable laugh, mischievous charm, and loved creating joy and beauty for others. Above all, she prioritized spending time with loved ones. Her son, Ramsey, was the light of her life. She was so proud of the young man he has become.
Suzanne's work with and support of charitable organizations in her communities was a passion that extended throughout her life. She was a loyal and strong supporter of the Greenwich Historical Society and served on the Board of Trustees for 18 years. She served as co-chair of the Society's Development Committee, was one of the leaders in the Society's campaign to Reimagine the Campus and made possible the addition of the Frank Family Gallery. She also had significant involvement with the Greenwich YWCA, American Red Cross, Red Ribbon Foundation, Greenwich Riding & Trails, and Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich. She was a proud recipient of the YWCA: 2012 Spirit of Greenwich Award. Suzanne was also a generous supporter to numerous charities including the Bruce Museum, Arch Street Teen Center, Family Centers of Greenwich. In Florida, Suzanne was a dedicated supporter of Forever Everglades, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, and the Palm Beach Zoo. In New York City she was a supporter of the Fresh Air Fund, ASPCA, Angel Ball benefiting Gabrielle's Angel Foundation, and Audubon Women in Conservation, among many others. She showed compassion for many and was known for her spontaneous acts of kindness.
Suzanne was an avid traveler, talented cook, art enthusiast, and had an eye for design. Her style was unmatched and her exquisite taste was showcased in numerous interior design magazines and books. She was a fabulous hostess who made everyone feel warm and welcomed.
Throughout her life, Suzanne held many roles and impacted many lives. Most importantly she was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and caring friend. Everyone who knew Suzanne will always cherish memories of her and continue her legacy to smile, love, live life, and give back to others.
A Memorial Service will be held in Greenwich, Connecticut at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of the many charitable organizations she was involved with in her name.
