Lebanon, NH - Jesse J. Truman III, 70, died on Monday, January 23, 2024 after a brief hospitalization. Jesse was born in Lebanon, NH, to the late Jesse J. and Mary B. (Krushinski) Truman. Following high school in Lebanon, Jesse owned and operated Jesse's Market in Canaan, NH. He is best known for his time working at Wings Market in Fairlee, VT. Jesse greeted customers with his 100 watt smile and quick wit for several decades while offering his expertise on local craft beer and his unsolicited opinion on Budweiser. Jesse loved talking to everyone and anyone who crossed his path and had the uncanny ability to put people at ease. Jesse loved animals. He enjoyed riding horses and loved his very spoiled dogs, who dined on steak and salmon more often than most people.

Jesse was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Jode Truman. He is survived by his son, "JJ" Truman, his wife, Theresa, and his grandchildren, Washington and Mina Truman. Jesse was one of eight children and is predeceased by his brother Joseph (wife Donna Truman) of Maricopa, AZ, and Bernice Isaacson of Greenbay, WI. He is survived by his siblings Henry and Susan Truman of Lebanon, Thomas and Ellen Truman of Lebanon, Shirley Carr of Florida, and Susan and Bob Ingalls of Newport, NH. Jesse loved spending time with his siblings, visiting local restaurants, ski racing, and cheering on Boston sports teams.

As Jesse wanted, there will be no funeral but instead an informal gathering to celebrate his life at the Lake Morey Inn on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to come and share "Jesse" stories, especially if they involve him acting stubborn in an endearing way, playing a joke on you, or finding you some obscure beer that no one else in the world could find.
