Eleanore Decker Obituary
Fitzwilliam NH - Eleanore Mildred Decker passed away after a brief illness surrounded by family and loved ones at the age of 91. She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Howard Decker and is survived by her daughters Debra and spouse Dan Rudy, Donna Young, Tammy and husband Richard Van Wart and Terry Decker, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Eleanore was known as an avid reader, a talented crochet artist, a gardener and a very competitive game player whose ability to talk smack was rivaled by no other. She was also an ardent UFC fan. She was the ultimate Mama Bear and ready to defend her family any time she felt it was necessary. Her wit and liveliness will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00AM, at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey.
A Funeral Liturgy service will immediately follow calling hours at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Fitzwilliam.
