Back when I was a college student at Miami University, I was lost, confused and deeply depressed. Ms Jan Elzey was the first person to recognize my needs and encouraged me to respect my inner voice (in her words, "take back the locus of control") in a way that my own family could not or would not respect.
Now I am 34, successful and fiercely independent. If I didn´t have Ms Elzey´s guidance as a young man I don´t know where I´d be right now. I am deeply saddened at her passing and regretful over not reaching out to her sooner to express my sincerest gratitude. I give my deepest condolences to her family.
