Mary Hay Obituary
Mary Bradley Hay passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, in Black Mountain, NC, at the age of 79. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, to Erroll B. Hay, Jr. and Charlotte King Hay, Mary was a graduate of E. Rivers Elementary, the Westminster Schools, and the University of Georgia. For much of her career, Mary pioneered her way as a female civilian engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers. She lived in Ohio, Virginia, and Atlanta, before retiring to her dream of a small farm with horses, goats, chickens, cats and dogs in Tryon, NC. A graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, GA, on April 27, at 10:30 AM.

Although we hadn´t seen each other in years, Mary was a good friend at Westminster and we would visit when I was in Atlanta.

Unfortunately I'd not kept up with Mary the last couple years. However I knew her as a terrific co-worker and friend. She had a dry sense of humor and a true kindness. She is missed.

Mary you were an incredible brave and strong woman. Also o ne of the kindest and funniest friends to sit in the backyard with. Wish I could have been a neighbor forever. You will never be forgotten. Hannahs' heart will be sad.

I have fond memories of Mary. We were at E. Rivers School together. I knew her sister and parents as well. RIP, old friend.
