I was very saddened to hear that my old boss, Marvin Wilhelm, has passed away. He was the finest principal that I ever worked with, and his compassion for students and faculty was unmatched. He will be missed, as he was when we lost him as our principal at THS.

My football coach at Talawanda in 1965 and 1966. He treated all players with respect and got more out of us because of that. He became principal and never changed. Everyone loved Marvin Wilhelm. I was one of those. I always remembered Mr. Wilhelm, always will. Now Heaven is a better place.

I was a student athlete in the first year that Marvins started coaching at Tipp City. Our class of 1956 held reunions which Marvin always attended.
Marvin and his fellow coaches frequently visited our house after football games or any event.

As a long time, Talawanda teacher I knew Marvin well. He was the best principal I had ever worked under. He was dedicated to the students and teachers in the Tawanda District. He´s one of the kindest men I´ve ever known. He absolutely lived his faith. Much love to his family and close friends. He will be dearly missed.

I first met Marvin when I rented his cottage at Camp America when I moved to Oxford. Little did I know that I would end up being a counselor at Talawanda under his sage guidance, and that Kathy would end up babysitting for my children. Such a giving family. He will remain a legacy in Oxford. My condolences to all.
