Ms. Marino was my teacher when I attended Chadwicks High school in 1962. I was a foster child, and Ms. Marino was so kind to me. She even brought me to have supper with her parents in little Falls. She also bought me my first ice cream soda I had ever had. I have held the memory of her kindness in my heart for all of these years. You never know what an act of kindness will mean to someone who has never experienced it. Ms. Marino was one of my angels. Thank you Ms. Marino, I will never forget you.

Arlena was a remarkable woman. I met her while living in NY through her niece, Chris. She counseled me during a very difficult time in my life. Her words and council game me strength throughout my life. I am forever grateful for her encouragement that I am worth something. I can be someone and "the buck stops with me. I can change what I could not change." I still hear her voice. She will never know that her and her words...have carried me throughout my life. Our paths crossed for a brief moment this past year. What a gift God gave me to see her. She has no idea that she has been in my thoughts and deep in my heart all these years. I hope to see her beautiful and whole in Heaven. I'd love to hear her sing one more time. Condolences to you all!! She was a remarkable woman that I am honored God put in my life when I needed her.
