Eunice Burdette Obituary
Boscawen , NH - Eunice H. Burdette, 96, formerly from Winter Haven, FL, and Concord, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, with her daughter holding her hand after a short illness.
Born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on July 13, 1927, to William D. Hubbard and Irene Hubbard (Merchant), she grew up in North Danville and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy.
Eunice married Gordon L. Burdette on May 9, 1949, together raising four children before his passing in 2003 after 54 years of marriage. She worked for many years at Mckerley Nursing Home greeting visitors with her warm, beautiful smile. Family was everything to her and, as the family matriarch, she gently nurtured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren every chance she got.
Eunice is survived by her daughter, Eileen B. Corbett of Concord and Simpsonville, SC, and husband Bruce Corbett, and daughter-in-law Jeanne Burdette of Whitefield, NH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by many including three of her four children: Michael R. Burdette (1995), Paul G. Burdette (April 2022), Sharon B. Lupien (July 2022) and her husband Hank Lupien (January 2024).
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 1pm at Maple Grove Cemetery at the intersection of Fisherville Road and Sewalls Falls Road, West Concord. To the Family of Eunice Burdette, I remember Eunice so well as I worked for Gordon at Beneficial Finance when I first graduated from business school. I was fortunate to have the whole Burdette family at my wedding in 1968 and never forgot any of them.
Sharon was a nurse in the delivery room at Concord Hospital when I had my first child in 1969. Your family was "what a family should be". I am so heartbroken to learn that you have experienced such loss of loved ones. God bless you and in time fill your heart with fond memories.

I'm very sorry to hear this I used to love seeing your mom when visiting my mom her roommate. Your mom always gave me a big smile and wave as I entered or left mom's room. I hope your many good memories of your mom will help you thru this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
