DOLORES MOSAKEWICZ

West Hatfield, MA - Dolores Nellie (Zuraw) Mosakewicz, 86 of West Street, West Hatfield died June 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Danbury CT. June 3, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Gesiorek) Zuraw. She graduated from Hopkins Academy. Dolores married Thomas Mosakewicz and together they raised a family. While taking care of her kids she typed Smith College students Thesis papers as well as working at Bookland in Northampton. She later worked as a secretary at the Worcester Dining Commons of UMASS for many years.

Dolores enjoyed playing in the Senior Bowling League at Canal Bowling in Southampton, playing Pitch and she also helped out and enjoyed going to the Hatfield and Hadley Senior Centers. What she loved most of all however, was taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. Dolores was always there for them whenever she was needed.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas. Dolores leaves a daughter Deborah and husband Michael Lambert of Whately, sons Phillip and his wife Lynn of Belchertown, and Brian of Chicopee.

Dolores also leaves a sister, Nancy (Zuraw) Nowak of Northampton, a brother, Robert Zuraw and his wife Gladys of Williamsburg. Another brother, Michael Zuraw Jr. predeceased her. She leaves several nieces and nephews as well as her beloved grandchildren, David, Taylor, Morgan, Madison, and Grace.

The funeral will be July 2, 2024 at the St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on King St in Northampton, with a calling hour from 9 to 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hadley. Memorial contributions can be made to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
