Wright, Darrell E.

Darrell E. Wright, 83 of Centerville, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on September 1, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Orlan James "Blondie" and Bertha Marcella (Burris) Wright. Darrell was a 1959 graduate of Lewisburg-Union High School and a 1967 graduate of Miami University in Oxford where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He retired from NCR Corporation where he was a Time Clerk, Financial Auditor and Analyst and Chief Financial Officer of Corporate Technology for 36 years. He enjoyed golf, fishing, traveling and skiing and was a member of the NCR Country Club for over 45 years, where he held the honor of making a "hole in one" on #2 on the south course.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by her his sister, Mary Jo Wright in 1997.

He was a true and honest friend to many and is survived by dear friends, Bill and Jan Wagner, Joe and Kim Engleman, Gary and Mary Wagner, and Cheryl Wacks; numerous cousins and the care teams at Symphony Memory Care and Hospice of Dayton for which we cannot thank enough for their exceptional care of Darrell.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with the service starting at 12:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. The Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio.
