Jestice, Lois B.

Lois B. Jestice, 88, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at The Enclave of Springboro, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Middletown on October 15, 1936 to the late, Granville and Livia C. (Smallwood) Kidd. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Hall; and brothers, Rodney Kidd & David Kidd. She is survived by her children, Lennie D. (Tanya) Jestice, Lynda L. (Tom) Doud and Diane E. Harvey; sister, Wanda Korzeniowski; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Lois graduated from Carlisle High School and earned her Bachelor's degree from Miami University Oxford and her Master's degree from the University of Cincinnati. She was a teacher in Franklin School System and worked for the Warren County Board of Education for 21 years, retiring as the supervisor of the Work-Study program in 2000. She taught piano for over 20 years. Lois was well known in the area for her musical accompaniment. She was church pianist and choir director at Yankee Road First Church of God, Springboro Christian Church and Home Ave. First Church of God in Trenton and at Lebanon Correctional Institute for 20 years. She remained active with the Carlisle Area Historical Society and was a member of the American Business Women's Association. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Todd Wallen and Pastor Terry Carlisle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery & Arboretum.
