Jesse Hinton Obituary
Age 84 of Dayton passed January 4, 2025 at Arcadia Healthcare of Dayton. He was born June 4, 1940 in Pickensville, AL the 5th of 14 children born to the late Abe Sr. and Queen E. Hinton. He confessed Christ at an early age at St John MBC in Pickensville. He retired from the City of Kalamazoo where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Later he returned to Dayton and worked a few additional years as a truck driver for the Wolfcreek Company. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, 7 siblings and his wife Claudette Hinton. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his loving sons Jeffrey (Stacy) and Eric (Tyneka) Hinton, Stephan Wafford, Kenneth and Joey Durden; daughters Dana Williams, Tailyn Gooden and Carmela Streeter; sisters Dora Grice, Louise Moree and Savannah Hinton; brothers Robert, Bobby, Al and Johnny Hinton. Jesse is survived by numerous grandchildren, family members and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him. Special thanks to the staff of Arcadia Healthcare of Dayton for the care provided until his passing.
Funeral service Saturday 11 am at Donald Jordan Memorial Chapel 4882 Germantown Pike Dayton. Family will receive friends 10 am until time of service.
