Robert was a father figure for me....his late daughter,Lauren(Laurie) was
my lifelong bff, until her unexpected passing in 2018.
We were bed-babies in LaBelle Haven Baptist church, and were baptized at same time.
Precious lifetime of memories
And always being there for each other, especially when we were widowed at young ages. I looked for to having sunday lunches at Robert and Anns house. Robert was always wise in his advice, amd a loving funny, and Godly man. I hope hes running the streets of gold with Laurie and Terry, and everyone else greeting him in heaven.
I love him,and his whole family
and will wholeheartedly miss him!! Love Marjie Szuhay Bennett

Bob was like a second father to me, and one of my best friends in all my life. I met him as a young architect, not very sure of myself, but he encouraged me and never made me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. He taught me how to play racquetball, and I'm convinced that he did so to laugh at me when I first started. He allowed me to start doing his structural drafting work him in CAD, which I did from 2006 to 2020 when he retired, and what a privilege it was to work closely with him and become even closer to him. That made me a better architect, and he would repeatedly tell me to quit "thinking like an architect" when I started thinking I could do some structural design on my own. He would tell me that I wasn't quiet ready to become a professional engineer just yet! He made be better; a better architect, a better man, a better husband, and father.......but isn't that what he did with anyone who really grew to know him well......he made them better! We talked about this day, and as we said to each other, " We will see each other again!"

Bob was my friend and confidant for many years. He was more than an excellent structural engineer to me for many buildings , but he was always there for confidential dialogue. I always respected his advice and wise counsel .
