Edward Maloof Obituary

Edward A. Maloof

Boscawen, NH - Edward Maloof, 85, of Boscawen, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Christmas night, surrounded by his family. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts, he was the son of Edward and Adele Maloof. A 1957 graduate of Norwood High School, Edward served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years as a boom operator, retiring as a master sergeant. His passion for aviation led to a career as a flight instructor and pilot for Precision Airlines, Northwest Airlink, and the Federal Aviation Administration. He was hired by the New Hampshire State Police as a pilot in 1989, serving until 2000.

Edward spent over 20 years as Senior Flight Instructor at Concord Aviation Services, where he mentored countless students. He also volunteered with the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program and served as a selectman in Boscawen. Above all, Edward's greatest joy was his family, who brought him endless love and laughter.

He was predeceased by his brother Paul and sister Suzanne. He is survived by his wife Linda, children Guy, Audra, Sean, and Nicole, and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

I had the honor of having Mr. Maloof as my flight instructor for a brief period of time in the Fall of 2019. I found him to be patient and well knowledgeable on the ground and in the sky. Knowledge I will continue to use as continue my flight journey. May his memory be a blessing. My condolences to his entire family, friends and colleagues.

To the Maloof family
I am saddened to learn of your loss of Ed. He was a long-time friend and fellow pilot with whom I shared many hours on the flight deck of many of our aircraft. He was a solid addition to the State Police, as both a pilot and representative of the State Police to the public, May he have fair winds and smooth landings !

I had the pleasure of working with Ed at State Police. He was such a kind man!! Even when they threw him in dispatch in snowstorms, the last place anyone would want to be, he was so kind and fun! I am so sorry for you loss.
