Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.
=======================================
A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;
Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,
But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;
The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,
Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;
All the way to the end of the
sky.
That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,
So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;
Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in
heaven.

To all of the wonderful people who have written, thank you. I'm Annette Mason Cihak, Luke's younger sister. I can only now read what wonderful things everyone has written, even from people who didn't even know Luke. As for me I have a bigger view of Luke; he was a true big brother and picked on our younger brother Wes and I a lot. He felt it was his duty as a big brother, we just wouldn't turn out right otherwise. No matter how many fights we would get in, there is no doubt if I needed him he would be there for me. It was his country that needed him and he answered. I am proud of him and I love him and I am glad that was the last thing I told him. Our lives will be less without him in it, but he gave us so much while he was here. Just to see him with Melanie and his girls showed what a caring person he was and how much he loved them. I'm glad that he was able to give that to them and now they can give that to the rest of the world. I have such sorrow for all the families who lost loved ones that day and all the families who have lost in this time of war. I know Luke is looking down on us, and if I have to guess he's probably laughing. Prayers to all and God's love to help us all through.

Staff Sgt. Anthony Luke Mason - I regret that life got so busy that I fell out of touch. I heard the story on the news and was so busy I did not stop to honor our soldiers properly, or I would have known sooner. You family is my family and Melanie is so very special to me. I promise to you that I will not lose touch again. I love you and think of you all often, I am sorry for being absent. Rest in Peace my dear friend. I know that you have a seat next to our Father God, keep an eye on my cousin Clayton; he joined you on July 15, 2009.
To all the men that serve our country, you deserve the time and respect of each one of us, and I will mourn each of you with more respect then I have shown. I cannot change the past, but I will change the future. God Bless each of your families.

Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

Melanie,
Nikki, Megan, Jamie & Sarah,
You do not know me. I knew Luke and Wes when they were living with Robert "Tater" Boynton and Irene. I remember the times spent at First Methodist Church in Azle during Sunday School and Bible School. I also remember the times I went to Tater's house to hang out and listen to Irene play the piano.
Luke is an American Hero and I am proud to have known him. Today we paid respects to Robert, his grandpa and still Luke was in my mind. You will always be remembered as well as Robert and Irene will be.
May God bless you and confort you and know that all is well. You have many people to lean on including the Lord.
God Bless

To the family and parents of Anthony I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many questions as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There is no right or wrong way to grieve it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. When and if the time is right for you please contact me. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to be with you and heal you

Melanie, Nikki, Megan, Jamie and Sarah,
Know that you are in our family's thoughts and prayers today and always. Luke epitomizes the meanings of compassion, love, dedication and so much more. He will continue to give you strength through this, just as he gives his fellow soldiers strength to advance fearlessly after losing their brother in arms. I know that you'll see his light shining all around you to carry you into the future with grace.
God certainly has an outstanding Army of brave soldiers up in Heaven, echoing the reminder that freedom is not free. They are still protecting us, just in a different way...

Dear Mason Family,
I was honored to be in Springtown, Texas today as SSGT Mason was remembered.
I rode with the Patriot Guard. I joined the PGR because they were such a comfort to our family when we lost our son, 2nd LT Peter Burks, last November 14.
Know the Luke was and is a hero. He has changed lives for the better.
Know that you are now a member of a special club that no one wants to join. But what an honor to be a part.
Know that there are many Gold Star families across North Texas that grieve with you tonight.
When you are ready, we are here for you.
With much love and respect,

Anthony, god bless you soldier and thank you for your service to a grateful nation, forever we will mourn you and those fallen service members both before and after you. On 5/6/08 my nephew PFC Aaron J. Ward was KIA in Iraq while on a routine patrol. My promise to him was that I would never forget him but also those fallen before and after him. When I made that promise to him the day we laid him to his final resting place I did not realize how often I would need to make entries on Legacy and it just breaks my heart knowing that so many other families have and will continue to feel the pain that our family has endured. To the Mason family please accept my heart felt condolences and my prayer that god help you cope with this tragic loss and may the memories of your HERO carry you through each day. From one Gold Star family to another we will never forget Anthony!

I am very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and the family.
Words or monetary compensation can never replace someone you love,
but I pray that God will grant you the strength to carry on.
Luke did not die alone
He left to fight for not only
The ones he loves,
But for the ones yet to come
Luke fought to uphold
The American flag, and for all
That it stands for, Luke fought for his wife at home, taking care of the children
While they sleep peacefully at night.
…God bless the family that was left behind….
Let his memories carry on forever
LUKE is a true HERO

To the family of Sgt. Anthony L Mason,
There is nothing anyone can say at a time like this to ease the pain of your loss. Knowing that Luke made the ultimate sacrifice so that his little girls can grow up in a free country and that all Americans will continue to enjoy the freedom that we have today. Like so many others before willing to fight for what they believe in. It doesn't make sense sometimes that we would have to fight to have peace. However, it is a simple fact that we do. I am thankfull for those willing to lead and carry on that fight. My heartfelt sympathy goes to all of you. God Bless you all and God Bless America !!

We talk about the fun we had 2 years ago here in Indiana when everyone was together for Thanksgiving.
Even though we do not see you that often we have always loved you as much as if you had lived next door.

As you have heard over and over remember the good times and that Luke loved you and the girls so much. He certainly showed his love for all of you. I am so sorry for your loss. This poem was a comfort to me when I lost my daughter. I hope it will be a comfort for you.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death
We do the same. It broke our
hearts to lose you, you did not go
alone; for part of us went with you,
the day God Called you home. You
left us peaceful memories, your love
is still our guide; and though we
cannot see you, you are always at our
side. Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
the Chain will link again.

To the Sgt. Mason's family, We just want to take a moment to tell you how much we appreciate the life that he gave to serve our country and preserve our freedom. His duties took him to places most of us would never consider going. We know that God has prepared a special place for him to serve now. We are praying for you in your time of sorrow.
