I thought of Tom today, and only afterward realized it has been almost 15 years to the date since he passed... an immense loss that still feels fresh. Sending all my love to his family and friends. His talent and generosity continue to reverberate.

Hey Thomas, wherever you are now, knows that a bunch o brazilian friends discovered the Desert Combat, founded a Clan called BeC - Babilônia em Chamas, we love to play that game and we miss a lot it, then, some days ago I bought the EURO, and what was my surprise...Smoke Screen and Tabara, rounds in the desert, I have already posted it to the CLAN, and i am claiming everybody to buy the game, the CLAN is very excited about it, thanks to you man....rest in peaece....

I didn't know Thomas personally but I know the project he worked on and hearing about a tragic accident like this for a kid as young as him is simply shocking.. I don't know what else to say really, my deepest condolences go out to his entire family and friends.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that I knew Tom well, but I do remember working with him while I was involved in the alpha and beta testing of the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 (an extremely successful venture, as you know). Tom was a talented and driven young man, and he will be missed. It's really shocking to hear that Tom is gone, he had a long and fruitful life ahead of him. I wish all of Tom's family and loved ones the best and hope you can look to one another for support in these rough times.

It is always sad when a young person is los. From what I have read about Tom on the forums he is missed by many many people from all over the globe.
Being only 16 meant nothing to Tom. He has touched more people at 16 than many see in thier lifetime.
Rest in Peace Tom. Though I never talked to you personally its not hard to know the gaming community and the world lost a good kid.

I worked with Tom online testing DesertCombat. He was a smart kid and I honestly thought he was far older than his years.
