I was shocked to hear this happening. I was at work and I remember reading the newspaper and seeing that Josh was missing.

I didn't get to know Josh very well but he was I very open spirited boy.

I give Josh's parents my prayers and hope to god they know Josh is always there in their hearts

Dear Steve and Julie,
My heart goes out to you and the rest of you're wonderful family. I am so heart broken...I loved Josh so much. He was one of my best friends in High School and one of the most caring, funny, loving, and amazing people i have ever known. He will never be forgotten, those beautiful smiling eyes, warm hugs, and heartfelt laughs will live on in my memory forever.
You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all.

Dear Julie and Steve,

My heart aches for you and your loved ones. I understand your anguish and pain, as homicide senselessly claimed the life of my first-born son on 7-17-08.

May your faith and the love and support from family and friends sustain you. God will bless you with courage and strength to face the days ahead. Fill your heart and mind daily with wonderful memories of your son, and he will be with you always here on earth until you join him in eternal life. My prayers are with you. You are not alone...

Dear Julie & Steve,

As an adoptive parent of 3 children in their twenties, my heart goes out to you over the sudden loss of Josh. I was stunned when I heard the news from another AAC board member. Words seem inadequate to say how very sorry I am and wish there was some way to lift your pain and anguish over his unexpected death. My hope is that you are able to find comfort with friends and family members and to eventually begin the healing process able to give thanks such a wonderful young man graced your life for the time allotted. My thoughts and pryers are with you daily.

We know Josh was so loved by you and your family. We had such a nice visit with him at our last reunion. He was such a neat kid and a delight to talk to with a great personality. Just know that you are in our prayers.
