William "Billy" David Hoy Jr. BUENA VISTA

William "Billy" David Hoy Jr., 38, of Holly Avenue, passed away early Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington.

Born February 22, 1970, in Waynesboro, he was a son of William David, Sr. and Virgie Lee (Mayo) Hoy.

He attended Midway Bible Church in Fishersville, enjoyed fishing and restoring his Chevelle.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Lisa Owen; and a uncle, James Carr.

Survivors in addition to his father of Waynesboro, include his former wife, Julia Davies Hoy of Stuarts Draft; a daughter, Jessica Hoy of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Timothy Wayne Hoy of Waynesboro; a special aunt, Frances Carr of Staunton; four aunts and uncles, Juanita and John Cash of Staunton, Mary and David Rhodenizer of Waynesboro, Peggy and Gary Via of Waynesboro, and Alice and Jerry Thompson of Waynesboro.

He also leaves his companion, Brandi Painter of Buena Vista, and a special friend, Jerry Davies of Stuarts Draft.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Midway Bible Church in Fishersville by Pastor Richard Owen. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Sonny Heatwole, D. J. Johnson, Jerry Davies, Charles Rhodenizer, Randy Painter, Shane Gardner, Richard Marsh, Bradley and Timothy Snyder.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Friends may also visit at the homes of his daughter of 163 Forest Springs Drive, Stuarts Draft, and his father, David Hoy, of North Bath Avenue, Waynesboro.
