Dear Doris and family,
Our thoughts, hearts and prayers are with you and yours. There is no doubt that Jim could light up a room. You have to know that when he reached the pearly gates, introduced himself to our Lord, they both were smiling.

Always liked his twinkling eyes!! My best memory is probably of how good he was to my dad - the bread, the visits when others couldn't or wouldn't go to see him - for that I am ever grateful.

Please accept my condolences on Jim's death. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.
I posted Jim's obituary on the Rush and Dickson's Guest Book as well as sent each an email along with the obituary.
Although, I never knew Jim, I send these obituaries of Navy personnel out as a courtesy to the family of the deceased member.

For the short time of two years that I knew Jim I knew he was someone very special. He always thrilled me with his exciting stories living on a farm. The beautiful bond between Doris and him was more than spectacular. Their stories leaped out over the phone.
Jim will truly be missed.
My thoughts and prayers to you Doris.
I was more than your "wine gal"
I am your friend.
