William Potts Obituary

POTTS, WILLIAM M. SR. 86 - of Millville, died on Saturday at home after an extended illness. Born in South Carver Mass., he had lived in the Millville area for 19 years. Mr. Potts served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a corporal in the 12th Bombardment Group. Prior to retirement, he worked for Halco Mailing Service as a courier/driver for over 8 years. Mr. Potts loved to listen to spiritual hymns, and he also enjoyed metal detecting. He is survived by: three sons; Howard of Millville, Robert of Millville, and Edward of Virginia: seven daughters; Kathleen Swanson of Millville, Colleen Daicel of Clearwater, Fla., Marleen Talone of Clearwater, Fla., Roberta Burt of Millville, Geraldine Sacchetti of Vineland, Joyce Camp of Millville and Rosalie Potts of Clearwater, Fla.: brother; Clarence Potts of Vineland; sisters; Dorothy Yeager of Bridgeton, and Marie Caribello of Vineland. 30 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Mr. Potts was pre-deceased by his wife Marjorie Nicholson Potts, son; Bill Potts Jr. and sister; Eleanor Colter . Services will be held on Thursday at 11am in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home of Millville. Burial will follow in the Cumberland County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10am until 11am. Written condolences can be sent to: [email protected].
