Mary Harrison Obituary
She was a native of Ettrick, and was the daughter of the late Mary Epperson and Marion E. Blankenship. She was the widow of Howard Edward Harrison Sr., and was predeceased by two sons, Marion Alvin Harrison and Ronald Eugene Harrison. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Jean O'Shields (Ronnie) of Chesterfield, Carol Lee Paul (Fred) of Heathsville, Va., and Linda Kay Monger (David) of Prince George; five sons, Howard Edward Harrison Jr. (Deolinda) of Arizona, Lewis Oliver Harrison (Rose Marie) of Petersburg, Gerald Mitchell Harrison (Sandra) of Petersburg, Philip M. Harrison (Bridgette) of Chesterfield and Chucky Harrison (Jennifer) of Chesterfield; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, with the Rev. William Rawlings officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Tuesday evening at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
