Michael Earley Obituary
Loving husband, father and grandfather
Age 71, of 509 Herrick St., Elmira, NY. He was born March 26, 1937 in Mansfield, PA, son of the late Edward W. and M. Averil (Decker) Earley, and passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008, unexpectedly. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Lou Allen and Nadine Robertson. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marcia (Leljedal) Earley; children and their spouses, Kathleen and David Karski of Elmira, Tamie and Mike Klemaske of Waverly, NY, Traci and Jeff Chimileski of Greene, NY, Brett and Lisa Earley of Elmira, Kelly and Laura Earley of Horseheads; grandchildren, Cory and Tiffiany Karski, Kristie-Mae and Mikie Klemaske, Rachel and Abbey Chimileski, Kaylin and Jared Earley, Ricky Kelley, Katy (Steven) Storm, and Cody (Nickie) Koellner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward W. and Dorothy Earley, Jon and Gayle Earley, all of Elmira; brothers-in-law, Al Allen of Elmira, and Marshall (Marion) Leljedal of Pine City; sister-in-law, Charlotte Roberts of Elmira; along with several nieces and nephews. Mike was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church and a member of the choir at church. He retired from Hardinge, Inc. in 1994 after 37 years of service, and was an avid outdoorsman, Yankees fan and NASCAR (Mark Martin) fan. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Monday, August 18th, from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral and committal services will follow at 7 p.m. Rev. Michael Weeden and Rev. J. Keith Kissel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Mike through donations to New Beginnings United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Dear Marcia and family,
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Mike, who was loved by one and all. We are at the lake in Canada and wished we could have come and shared our condolensces in person. We will remember Mike always - and his perpetual smile. He was so kind to all of us. He always asked how the kids were doing when they couldn't make it to Sunday service. He brought many laughs to many a choir rehearsal when I was in the choir - and brightened up the room. Our prayers are with you all.
