Joseph Sutter Obituary

SUTTER, Joseph B.
Age 82 of Elmira, NY. He was born February 22, 1925 in Elmira, son of the late Ralph and Eleanor Sutter and passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce M. (Hereforth) Sutter in 1999; and his sisters, Helen Brown and Dolores Lutz. He is survived by his sons, Ralph W. Sutter of Elmira and Craig J. Sutter of Greenwich, CT. Joseph was a veteran of WWII. He owned the former Sutter's Sign Shop and Sutter's Saddle Shop in Elmira and in recent years he owned a computer repair and rebuild shop, making computers affordable to everyone. For many years he was a 4H leader teaching horsemanship to children. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may remember Joe through donations in his memory to 4-H horse department, Cornell Co-operative Extension, 4-H Department, 425 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
