McCORMICK, Ralph Leroy, 86, died August 14, 2008, at Riverside Tappahannock Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salina Rose and Henry Winning McCormick; his first wife, Evelyn; second wife, Pat; and three brothers, Henry, Robert and Walter. He was born on January 14, 1922 in Fairmont, West Virginia, and served in the Army during World War II. After the war, he worked as an Electronics Engineer with Bendix Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland. He is survived by devoted nieces and nephews, Marsha Moore, Leslie McCormick, Karen Meyers, Walter J. McCormick and Mark Joyner; and faithful canine companion, Dusty. He is also survived by a daughter, Eugenia McAfee; one grandson, two great-grandsons, and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad. We cherish the special place in our hearts that will always be reserved for you. We thank you for the gift your living brought to each of us. We love you, Walter, Leslie and Marsha.
