DAY, Burton N., 90, of Dillwyn, died Monday, September 1, 2008. He was the widower of Alice Bass Day. He is survived by a daughter, Rachel "Rae" Day Pittman and husband, Otis, of Surry; two grandchildren, Kenneth Pittman and wife, Wanda, of Surry, and Deana Pittman and Kara of Waverly; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Eggleston, Britney Pittman, Brianne Pittman, Deana Pittman, Taylor Laxton. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
