I only learned tonight about Elizabeth. I will miss her taking tickets and Barksdale and roaming around Capitol Hill. She was a wonderful person.

Elizabeth Prevatt was truly one of the sweetest and dearest people I have ever known. What a pleasure it was to be in her company. I first met her when we ushered together at the Carpenter Center 25 years ago. The patrons adored her, as she always greeted you with her lovely smile. Richmond has lost one of it's most gracious southern belles. God Bless her.

Elizabeth and I worked together for a very long time. (Virginia Tourism Corporation) We shared a great love for the state ofVirginia and for the city of Richmond. That's why our job was a labor of love. She was truly a southern lady and it was my pleasure to work and know her for so long. All during that time I heard so much about her beloved family and her best friend Evelyn. And Midge the best hair stylist on the planet! (somebody else was second, think his name was Charles) It was easy to feel that I knew them all very well!
Elizabeth was never late for work and I can't recall a time that she didn't show up for work. Used to tell my husband that I had to get to work when it snowed because Elizabeth was going to be there no matter what happened. She rode the bus and walked to the office in all kinds of weather. And remained perfectly groomed thru the entire process! I moved to Memphis, TN four years ago and haven't seen her since then. Richmond has lost a great lady.
